On Thursday[24th] the Mixed team entertained Civil Service at the Clappers on a glorious evening where an opening partnership of 55 between Josh Lewis[59] and Abigail Fifield[14] was broken when Abigail was bowled. Claire Hatter[13] joined Josh before he was caught with the score at 81-2 which brought Graham Clark [23n.o.] to the crease and the score moved onto 94 when Claire was caught. The wickets of Sarah Clark[8], Kayley Sherwood[3] and Lisa Fifield[3] went quickly while Keith Apps[8n.o.] saw the innings close on 147-6. The visitors made a steady start before Shawn Green held onto a catch from Lisa’[1-8] bowling to dismiss Donna[11] and Ian Kitson held ontoa catch dismiss Stuart[21] from Richard Apps’[2-31] bowling. Excellent fielding saw Dave[7] being run out but a partnership of 51 between Melissa[28] and Graham[29] steadied the innings before Graham was run out.
