Tomorrow is Saturday Market at Robertsbridge Hall; this is between 10am and 12 noon. Many stalls with local produce, cakes and bakes, and lots more. Morning coffee is also available.

Sunday 3rd June Robertsbridge Club is holding an Open Pairs Darts Knockout Competition. It starts at 8pm so be there a bit before hand to get your table and a drink. Entry is just £1 and there is also to be a raffle during the evening.

This Monday is the much awaited Robertsbridge Jubilympics. This is to be an all day event so make sure you get your tables chairs and gazebos if you have one put up early between 11am – 12 noon at the recreation ground, this is to try and avoid congestion later on when all the events have started.

The Grand Procession starts from Station Road Car Park at 1.45pm. If you would like to dress up and take part the outfits are to be festive costumes with medals being awarded for the best contribution. The Sedan Chair Races, Village games, fun sports and all with an Olympic theme, will follow this at 2.15pm. At 5.30pm there will be performances by Youth Bands and at 8pm P`Zaz will play into the night. Take along your own picnics and enjoy yet another great Free event in Robertsbridge. There will be a few stalls to buy food and drink and of course the drink for a grand summers day is Pimms, this will be available throughout the day. If any one, even at this late stage would like to help in any way contact Simon Longhurst on 880469, or if you just want more details on the day itself go to or check out the Facebook page.

This will be a fantastic family event and a big thank you in advance to all of those that have worked so hard to put it together. Have good Jubilee Celebrations, especially as it is a double Bank Holiday.

Football: Saturday 16th June 2012 we are holding a ‘Prize Bingo’ at Robertsbridge Club 8p.m.

Stoolball: The Ladies team match at Catsfield on Tuesday was cancelled because we could not raise a side while the Mixed team played at Staplecross on Thursday. Batting first an opening partnership of 152 between skipper Phil Green, who hit 110, and Melinda Mackay (25) gave us the foundation to build a high target for the hosts but once the openers went Ben Moss (7) failed to get going, however Amy Mackay (9) and Richard Apps (11) saw the innings out at 182-3 off the 12 overs. Excellent bowling and fielding prevented the hosts scoring quickly and when their first wicket went down on 22 in the third over they were always behind the rate but a second wicket partnership of 72 steadied their innings as they finished on 119-2 with skipper Green taking 1-6 also taking a catch from Angela Marden’ bowling as she finished with 1-16 in the 63 run win. On Thursday 7th June the Ladies team are away to Pett starting at 6.45p.m.

Darts: The next ‘Open Pairs Darts’ is at Robertsbridge Club on Sunday 3rd June 2012. This is becoming very popular and highly entertaining with registration at 7.30p.m. and entry fee of just £1 per person.
