A fishing boat was saved by the Rye Harbour RNLI after an engine failure on Saturday (January 2).

The lifeboat was launched to help the boat who was struggling with a lack of electricity.

The fishermen were safely escorted back to the harbour with the help of Dungeness RNLI.

One of the crew was taken to the Conquest Hospital as a precaution due to sea sickness.

He was released two hours later.
