Rye Rotary Club has been carrying out its usual Christmas collection in Market Road at Rye.
The Club were in Market Road with their Pooh Bear display and collecting tins on various dates until December 22.
Money raised from the collection goes to help both national disaster appeals and good causes closer to home such as Rye Community Transport.
This year the Rotary Club says proceeds from their collection will go to the Sara Lee Trust, Alzheimer’s Society, Rye and District Community Transport, Rother Responders and The Ebola in Sierra Leone Appeal.
Richard Popple of Rye Rotary said: “Generally speaking we are delighted and surprised at the generosity of the public yet again.
“Our collections so far this year are on par with last year, which considering the problems that most people still experience is really heart warming”.
The Rotary Club has a sign up at Hilders Cliff wishing people a happy Christmas.
