There will be lots of different things to learn from cartoons to pottery to graffiti, and all things in-between. We are really keen to get kids and teenagers involved with getting creative but without it being like a school lesson. This is all about fun, and finding the inner Artist that every one has inside them. Classes will cost £10 per lesson, and you will be able to come and go as you like. We would really like to hear from you if you would be interested so that we know rough numbers before committing. So please get in touch with Luke on 07756327766 or email email@example.com and we can follow up from there. Classes are likely to start from mid February
NEW SCOUT GROUP: Brede 1st Scouts will begin again in January for the first time in 100 years and any young person 10½ or over who would like to join needs to contact Andy Bishop 07833065028 as soon as possible. SEDLESCOMBE SENIORS CHRISTMAS PARTY: Ralph Dellow writes on behalf of the Spring Fayre Committee: “The party in 2013 seemed to be appreciated by all those who came so it was decided to hold another one on December 19, it seems that it will become an institution in the Village. The party is organised by the Sedlescombe Spring Fayre Committee and the aim is to try to reach out to people who may be on their own over the Christmas period but all older people from the Village are very welcome. We were able to retain Chris Metelle who plays the melodeon, a type of squeeze box and a demonstration on a bowed psaltery which is a version of a medieval instrument popular at the time. He also played for us , with his colleague, songs and music from the 60s and 70s. We fortunate that the Sedlescombe Players kindly gave us about 40 minutes of their entertainment, sketches, songs and even poetry. In all super entertainment. The food was prepared by a number of very keen volunteers with donations of food such as poachers pie, trifles, quiches among others offered by people from around the Village. In addition wine and soft drinks were available all for the entry cost of £2.50. The party was opened by our local Minister, Kevin Mepham and finished by the entry of Father Christmas who took some time out from his very busy schedule, he was accompanied by three elves who carried his sack and gave out the presents ,one to everybody who came. We are very grateful to many people from the Village who gave their support of to make the party a success .”
