This Saturday September 8, there is an afternoon of cream tea and cake in the Rectory garden, Church Hill from 3pm.

The charge for this lovely event is only £2.50 so please make it a date for you, family and friends. There will also be a raffle, cake stall and a few plants for your autumn garden. Everybody is welcome and the added bonus is that if the weather is unkind it will be relocated to inside the church. If you would like to go but need transport please contact 870688 or 870808.

Sedlescombe Players have their Annual General Meeting on Monday September 10 at 7pm in Sedlescombe Village Hall. You are invited to go along and join this happy and dynamic group, you may like to act, work backstage, help build sets, paint, do costumes, work front of house and to meet up in the Village Pub after Monday rehearsals. They look forward to seeing you and hope you will be able to stay for a glass of wine when the meeting has ended.

Jellybeans mother, baby and toddler group opens it doors and makes a welcome return after the summer break on Tuesday September 11 from 10am to 12pm. Time again for the little ones and mums to get together to play, chat and catch up with each other. Wednesday September 12 sees Sedlescombe and District Flower Club meet in the village hall at 7.30pm although doors, as usual, will be open from 7pm to have time to socialise. This month’s demonstrator is Carolynne Meer with a evening entitled Bountiful Harvest, so I think you and I might have a better idea this time what might lie in store for us. Everyone is welcome to attend, and as I have it on good authority that this will be a excellent demonstration, perhaps a good opportunity for members to also encourage a friend or two to come along with them?
