Seventh Camber Sands death revealed by coroner

Seven people died at Camber Sands this summer not the original six who lost their lives while getting into difficulty in the sea, the coroner has revealed.

Brazilian teenager Gustavo Silva Da Cruz died on July 24 and exactly a month later five friends from London died while on a day trip.

An inquest into Gustavo’s death is due to be heard this morning at the same time as Mohit Dupar who it has been revealed died in hospital four days after the Brazilian.

Before now details of Mr Dupar’s death have not been publicly revealed.

Kurushanth Srithavarajah, aged 27, Kobinathan Saththiyanathan, 22, his brother Kenugen Saththiyanathan, 18, Inthushan Sriskantharasa, 23, and Nitharshan Ravi, 22, died on August 24.

They had travelled together from London to Camber for the day when they got into difficulty in the water.
