Sompting man's charity cut raises hundreds for hounds

IT was a case of "hair today, gone tomorrow" for an animal enthusiast who had his head shaved live on Splash FM.

Lee Gander, 23, of Millfield, Lancing, runs pet services firm VIPets, and hoped to raise 300 for charity Dogs Trust '“ which has a rehoming centre in Brighton Road, Shoreham '“ by having his hair and beard shaved off.

Lee hadn't had a proper hair cut for 12 months, and said getting used to his newly shorn locks was taking a bit of getting used to.

He told the Herald: "It is not too bad, the weather has been very kind. I think I might even have burnt it a bit. The first morning I stepped outside and I had to put my little wooly hat on '“ it was a bit chilly."
