St Richard's Hospital in Chichester open as normal

SERVICES at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester are running as normal, despite flooding problems around the area.

Access roads to the hospital are running normally, but health bosses want to hear from patients unable to attend appointments because of flooding.

Work is continuing at Worthing Hospital to clear up the flooding that affected some basement areas on Sunday night, but all clinical services are running normally.

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs St Richard’s and Worthing, as well as Southlands Hospital in Shoreham-by-Sea, all three hospitals, is asking patients who have appointments booked to attend as normal, but to contact clinics as soon as possible if travel problems closer to their homes mean they are unable to come in.

Jeannie Baumann, director of Clinical Services, Women and Children’s Health, said: “Our staff have been fantastic in clearing up after the basement flooding at Worthing and making sure we are able to operate normally across all three sites. If you have an appointment, please attend as normal.”
