Stubble fire on land at Ewhurst Green

Firefighers were called after stubble caught alight in a field at Ewhurst Green.

Crews from Battle and Broad Oak Fire Stations were called to the site, near the White Dog Pub, shortly before 3.30pm on Saturday (August 22).

Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours.

The blaze is believed to have been started accidentally.
