Sussex weather for week ahead

The weather across Sussex over the next week looks set to be a mixed bag.

According to the Met Office, today (Sunday, May 15), most places will remain dry throughout the day, with some sunny intervals.

But isolated light showers are possible in the afternoon.

Temperatures will remain a little below average for this time of year, but with light winds feeling pleasant in sunny spells.

Tonight most places across the county will remain dry with variable amounts of cloud and some clear spells.

It will be another cool night.

Tomorrow (Monday, May 16) sees another largely dry day with some sunny spells.

There will be the odd light shower developing during the afternoon in the east.

It will feel pleasant in the sunshine with light winds.

According to the Met Office, the outlook for Tuesday (May 17) to Thursday (May 19) will be mostly fine and dry on Tuesday with sunny spells, then rain spreading in overnight.

Winds will increase with further rain or showers, occasionally heavy, on Wednesday (May 18) and Thursday.
