Tenants mark 25 years of thriving sheltered housing community
The Greenfields site, which is made up of Carey House, Spurgeon Close and Taylor Walk was officially opened in 1991 shortly after the first residents moved in to the bungalows in 1990. It is now a thriving community.
Scheme manager Debbie Iveson, who has been there for just over three years said: “We still have two of the original tenants Ken Ashby and Wilma Gilson still live there. We have a tenants committee who organize bingo, outings, events, entertainment.
