Two National Theatre Live performances are to be broadcast on the big screen in the auditorium at the De La Warr Pavilion, in Bexhill, this summer starring two of the UK’s leading actors in the title roles - Kenneth Branagh as Macbeth and Adrian Lester as Othello.

On July 20 National Theatre Live will broadcast Manchester International Festival’s production of Macbeth, with Kenneth Branagh starring and Alex Kingston (Doctor Who, ER) as Lady Macbeth.

Directed by Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh, this electrifying new production of Shakespeare’s tragic tale of ambition and treachery is performed live within the walls of an intimate deconsecrated Manchester church.

On September 26, the National Theatre presents a major new production of William Shakespeare’s celebrated play about the destructive power of jealousy.

Olivier Award-winning actor Adrian Lester (Henry V at the National Theatre, BBC’s Hustle) takes the title role. Playing opposite him as Iago is fellow Olivier Award-winner Rory Kinnear.

Tickets for each show are £12.
