Tragedy of Bexhill OAP

A FALL in the home led to the death of a Bexhill pensioner, an inquest heard.

Dorothy Duncan, 89, was taken to the Conquest Hospital after falling at her house in Collington Avenue in July.

CT scans revealed internal bleeding in the brain and doctors were not 'positive' about her prospects, the court heard.

She was found on the floor of her house by her daughter Moira Duncan, who was staying over at the time of the accident.

She said it was likely her mother had banged her head on a nearby chest of drawers.

The retired caravan park owner also sustained a fractured wrist in the accident.

Coroner Alan Craze recorded a verdict of accidental death.
