Sarah Sampson has been running cardiac rehabilitation classes and taking referrals from Worthing and Southlands hospitals for 10 years.

“The idea behind rehabilitation is that people go back to their optimum health and wellbeing, both physically and mentally,” she said.

“We are aiming for them to get back to how they were before or even better in some cases.”

The majority of Sarah’s clients are retired people with other physical needs, but some are younger.

People have had a nasty shock and are low on confidence, trying to get their medication right, and to see them go from shell-shocked people to people who are well and adapting and going out running is just amazing,” said Sarah.

She said she enjoyed seeing people happy again and progressing physically.

Sarah runs mixed classes at East Preston and Kingston Village Hall, Jubilee Hall and Angmering Community Centre.
