Two in hospital after three car smash between Wisborough Green and Petworth

Two people were taken to hospital after three cars collided between Wisborough Green and Petworth on Saturday (January 11).

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “A silver BMW and white Mazda were travelling east on the A272 near to the junction with Wakestone Lane shortly after midday when the Mazda crossed onto the other side of the road and collided with a grey Range Rover.

“The Mazda spun in the road and collided with the BMW.

“The driver, a 33-year-old woman, and the passenger, a 35-year-old man, travelling in the Mazda both from Hampshire were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

“The woman was taken to Southampton General Hospital and the man was taken to St Richard’s Hospital.”
