A 30-year-old woman from London died after becoming unwell in the sea at Camber Sands yesterday (July 9).
It was suspected she had drowned but a cause of death has not officially been confirmed.
Paramedics and police attended the beach at 4pm and she was airlifted to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent, but later died.
The woman’s family were with her at the beach.
A police spokesman said there are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner’s office is continuing with its enquiries.
