Udimore

CHURCH SERVICES ON REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY: In St Mary's Church this Sunday Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8am. At 10.45am (please note the earlier time than usual) there will be a Remembrance Day service, to commemorate the actual Centenary of the Armistice, and the lives of all the young men from Udimore who died in the two World Wars. We're grateful to Fr Jim Hobbs for kindly agreeing to make it possible for us to have our own service again this year, instead of sharing with St George's, Brede.

PIRATES OF PENZANCE: Winchelsea Singers will be presenting this tuneful and witty Gilbert and Sullivan operetta next weekend. Performances will be at 2pm on Friday, November 16 and 7pm on Saturday, November 17. Tickets cost £12 and are available now from Winchelsea Farm Kitchen (01797 226384).

UDIMORE CHRISTMAS FAYRE: Preparations are now well in hand for the Fayre, on Saturday morning, November 24. Donations of Raffle and Tombola prizes, and items for sale on the various stalls will be much appreciated (more details next week). In particular, Rosemary Crouch (01424 882567) is looking for good quality bric-a-brac.
