A VISION OF EDEN: At 6.30pm on Thursday, October 8, there will be an illustrated talk in the Hall about Marianne North, of Hastings. This talk, by Brigadier Hugh Willing CBE, has been arranged by the Friends of the Hospital at Rye. Tickets are available by ringing the Hospital (01797 224499): the price of £15 includes wine and canapés.

SOUP & SCRABBLE: In the Hall at noon on Friday, October 9, there will be another lunchtime party in this popular series: for £5 you can enjoy a bowl of hot soup and an hour’s game of Scrabble (no previous experience needed). These are enjoyable parties, which help raise money for the Four Charities fund.
