AN EVENING OF MUSIC: On Sunday evening October 6 there will be a Concert in St Mary’s Church, starting at 7pm and ending about 9pm. Taking part in an attractive and varied programme will be Duncan Reid (organ), Bradley and Elizabeth Curtis (violin, ‘cello and piano), Grace Constable (soprano) and Gary Marriott (tenor). For tickets, please ring Sue Rowan (01424 882681) or Liz Turgoose (01424 882657): the £10 price includes a drink and canapés. Arranged by the Friends of St Mary’s, this should be a lovely occasion, the first concert in our church for several years, and the first in which all the pews now have comfortable cushions!
