UPDATE: Travel chaos after Chichester lorry crash closes A259

A lorry crash in Chichester this morning (July 29) has led to travel delays in and out of the city.

The incident happened on the Bognor Road, Chichester, between Quarry Lane and Florence Road around 2.30am.

The A259 Bognor Road has been closed in both directions while emergency services try to clear the scene, causing severe congestion around the city.

Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes where possible.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said no-one was trapped or injured in the accident.
