VIDEO: Panto season comes to Worthing

PANTO time is here again, and this year Worthing's Connnaught Theatre will be welcoming the enchanted tale of Robin Hood to the stage.

The pantomime at the Connaught will be in the traditional style with a woman playing the male lead role, and other pantomime traditions including the outrageous dame.

The performance stars Vicki Michelle from 'Allo, 'Allo and Emma Gilmour from Hollyoaks.

Panto regular Nicola Weeks, who will be playing Robin Hood, said: "The whole traditional aspect really adds that real magic action for the children beacause so many of the elements in it are really family orintated rather than perhaps having effects or other characters and heroes.

"Everything's very old fashioned, which makes it really sweet for the children."

Panto-goers can expect to see a magical interpretation of a classic story, with hand-crafter sets, live music, and plenty of shouts of "He's Behind You".

The panto kicks off on December 7 and runs through until January 6, 2008.
