Village aims to reduce carbon footprint

A CAMPAIGN called Low Carbon Ringmer aims to reduce the area's carbon footprint.

Cllr Chris Bowers said: 'Most people want to do something for the environment but often find it all very confusing and overwhelming.

'We can help by showing what we can do that will make a genuine difference, and talking to people about where they can act environmentally and in a way which also saves them money.'

Residents will also be asked to fill in a survey about how much heating and electricity they use in the home, and six months late another survey is planned to measure how much carbon dioxide has been saved.
