Pub quiz: St Giles’s Church is to have a pub quiz on Tuesday, November 8 at 7:30 PM at the Castle in Bodiam. Tickets are £12 each with tables of eight including supper. To book a table in advance call Van Keeling on (01580) 850342. All proceeds go to St Giles.
Helicopter push: the helicopter push that stopped at the Castle Inn for refreshments the other month - before going on to Sandhurst - has raised a lot of money for the Stroke Association and Kent Air Ambulance. Although I will know the final sum next month. You can still make a donation online at uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/helicopterpush.
Preschool: Mel Porter would still like more children at the Bodiam Preschool. Just call to arrange a visit phone Mel on (01580) 830615.
Church enquiries: all enquiries regarding St Giles’s church for baptism weddings and funerals should be made to churchwarden Graham Peters on (01580) 830203.
The great spectacular of fireworks and bonfire for the south-east will take place at the Castle Inn on November 11 at 6:30 PM. For more information phone (01580) 830330.
