Doctors’ surgery – Peasmarsh: Due to low demand these have now been reduced to one per month which will be the first Tuesday of the month between the hours of 11.30 am and 12.30 pm. To book an appointment contact Rye Medical Centre on 01797 223333.

Telephone woes: Crackling Telephone Lines and problems with internet in Peasmarsh - the Chair of the Parish Council (David Pankhurst) has written to BT and a copy of his letter can be viewed on the Parish Council website under Council News, and also on the Parish Council Notice Board at Brickfields. Any replies when received will also be posted on the Parish Council website and on the Parish Council Notice Board.

The next visit by the Mobile Library will be on Thursday 17th November, and every three weeks after that.

FLU VACCINATIONS: Flu Clinics at Northiam Surgery will run from 2.00-3.30 pm on Thursday 10th November and Tuesday 15th November

Saturday 5th November: 2-4 pm. Joyce Pannell from Beckley will be coming to Peasmarsh Village Memorial Hall to give a floral demonstration “Christmas Flowers for your Home”.There will be refreshments and a raffle (including the arrangements Joyce has made). CHURCH SERVICES: Sunday 30th October 8.00 am Holy Communion at Beckley, 10.00 am Holy Communion at Beckley, 5.00 pm All Souls Candle Service at Peasmarsh. All Souls’ Day is traditionally a time when the church remembers all those who have died living good and faithful lives. At this service we shall remember by name those we know of who have died in Beckley and Peasmarsh in recent years, as well as any others who are specially asked for. During the service we shall be lighting candles as a symbol of the hope we have that life prevails in the end. All are welcome to come and remember their own loved ones who have died recently or long ago. Those wishing to have them mentioned by name are invited to contact Father John on 01797 230226

Seasonal produce will be for sale in church porches from 9.30-11.00 on Sunday mornings, all money raised to go to church funds. Please feel free to bring along any excess produce you may have, together with some small change to make purchases.

HALLOWE’EN AT THE PAVILION (RECREATION GROUND): Monday October 31st after school (4-6 pm). Entry £2.50 includes free hot dog and drink (help to raise funds for a new children’s and adults’ play area)

PEASMARSH VILLAGE SIGN: Residents are invited to submit their ideas for a design to encourage a broader community involvement. The design should symbolise Peasmarsh, its history and environment, and include the Peasmarsh Panther. The closing date for entries is the 15th November, and they can either be emailed to, or posted in the Memorial Hall post box.
