Gillian Davis and her late husband Richard: spent 60 years collecting rare books on Russian music in their cottage in Church Road. The shelves are no full so Mrs Davies is to hand over the collection of more than 500 books to Britain's biggest university library at Oxford, allowing access to researchers for years to come at the Bodleian.
The services at Sandhurst Baptist Church: for October 14 are a Family Service at 10.30am and an Evening Meeting at 7pm, with a Deacon’s Meeting on October 16 at 7.30pm in the church.
A recital by Daniel Grimwood: of Piano Treasures, will take place in the village on Tuesday October 16 at 3pm.
