REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY: In St Mary’s Church this Sunday the one service will be Holy Communion, at 8am. The Service of Remembrance for both parishes will be in Brede this year, in St George’s Church, starting promptly at 10.45am. It’s to be hoped that as many Udimore residents as possible will be there to join our friends in Brede in our remembrance together of all those who gave their lives in two world wars, and other armed conflicts. Do also visit St Mary’s Church sometime in the next few days to admire the fine arrangements of poppies created there by our talented team of flower arrangers.

FUNERAL: In case you hadn’t yet heard, June Boorman’s funeral will be in St Mary’s Church at 10.30am on Tuesday, November 15.

‘FLU JABS: If you missed the first ‘flu jab session, on October 5, there’s just one more session at the Broad Oak surgery, between 2 and 3pm on Wednesday, November 16. No need for an appointment, just turn up.

TALK ON APPLE GROWING: On Thursday, November 17, at 2pm in Brede Village Hall, Peter Spencer’s talk will be entitled “The Core of the Matter”. None of you who know Peter, or have read his regular column in the Parish Magazine, will doubt his qualification to speak on this subject: he’s a real expert!

REINDEER: will be visiting the Udimore Christmas Fayre in St Mary’s Community Hall on Saturday December 3, between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Other attractions include stalls well stocked with goodies for Christmas, seasonal refreshments, and Father Christmas and other fun for children. Be sure to keep an hour or so of that Saturday morning free to visit our Fayre, and spread the word to your friends and relations round about.
