CHURCH SERVICE: At 8am this Sunday Holy Communion will be celebrated in St Mary’s.
PROPOSED BP FILLING STATION ON CADBOROUGH HILL: At an Informal Hearing in Bexhill Town Hall, starting at 10am on Tuesday (September 25), there will be a review of submissions already received for and against this project. After taking all these into account, the Inspector is expected to announce (in due course) his decision whether BP should be permitted to go ahead with the project or not. The Hearing will be open to the public, but there will be only limited opportunities to speak.
MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNINGS: Next Friday (September 28) there will be a Coffee Morning at the Ferry Road Health Centre, Rye, from 10am till noon. If you’re in Rye that morning, do look in.
And if you haven’t already noted that ours will be in the Hall on Saturday October 13, please make a note of the date now.
AN EVENING OF MUSIC: On Sunday evening October 6 there will be a Concert in St Mary’s Church, starting at 7pm and ending about 9pm. Taking part in an attractive and varied programme will be Duncan Reid (organ), Bradley and Elizabeth Curtis (violin, ‘cello and piano), Grace Constable (soprano) and Gary Marriott (tenor). For tickets, please ring Sue Rowan (01424 882681) or Liz Turgoose (01424 882657): the £10 price includes a drink and canapés. Arranged by the Friends of St Mary’s, this should be a lovely occasion, the first concert in our church for several years, and the first in which all the pews now have comfortable cushions!
