Clash is part of the ROOT 1066 International Festival - a festival of contemporary arts inspired by the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings and funded by Hastings Borough Council and Arts Council England.

Seven Hastings choirs are collaborating with poets/spoken word artists and composers from across the South East, to create a musical ‘tapestry’ of new choral commissions responding to the Bayeux Tapestry’s narration of the great Battle of 1066.

Otti is looking for vocalists to join Hastings Calling for the big September 24 performance.

He said: “I am looking for people of any experience level at all, even none, we’re all vocalists.

Participants/vocal contributors will get to experience working with their voices in a group on a new original piece, sing in front of a large audience, and, in some parts of the oratorio, sing with 200 other singers at the same time.”
