Walk for a good cause at Rye

RYE and Winchelsea Rotary Club holds its annual Charity Walk on Sunday, setting off from Cinque Ports Street between 9.30am - 10.30am.

The walk, of up to 10 miles, is along the River Rother to Camber, crossing Walland Marsh to East Guldeford and Iden Lock and returning along Sussex Border Path to Rye.

There is a choice of three distances, from three to 10 miles. The Rotary Club is providing maps and marshals at strategic points.

There is no entry charge but participants are encouraged to seek sponsors and can nominate a charity/good cause to receive 50 percent of what they raise. The remaining funds will go, via Rotary, to Rye and District Memorial Hospital and St Michael’s Hospice among others.
