Snow falls in Worthing after short spell of heavy hail

After a short spell of heavy hail around midday there was a flurry of snowflakes, which landed.

But despite the flakes continuing to fall, the brief spell of white across the ground did not last long.

According to the Met Office, wintry showers are still possible this afternoon but these will move away during the evening, leaving a dry and cold night.
