October 31st sees a Halloween Party from 8pm including live music from The Mutineers (who provided brilliant music for the beer festival). Fancy dress optional but encouraged. Westfield Horticultural Society: Members of the horticultural Society will testify that the Autumn Show was one of the best yet, especially the dahlia auction! Now it becomes serious. The AGM of the Society will be held on Wednesday, October 21st at 7pm in The Community Centre, Workhouse lane, Westfield. Put this date in your diary now. Further details will follow. Do not forget the Great Pumpkin weigh in which will be held at The Plough Public House on Saturday,24th October. This will be interesting to see how everybody has fared!

The Friendship Club: Future dates are October 12 and 26, November 9 and 23 and December 7 (Christmas party). New members are made most welcome. Meetings are 2-3.30pm in the Parish Hall, and members enjoy dominoes, Scrabble, whist, bingo, and a chat over tea and biscuits. The yearly subscription is £5, plus 10p each meeting.
