Caring and Sharing Group ‘ Live more simply that others may simply live’. For 30 years now the Caring and Sharing project in the U.K. has raised £2.5 million through regular small gestures of giving and prayer. The scheme was started in 1982 by the former Bishop of Lewes, Peter Ball. The challenge he gave was to adopt the practice of small self-denials in contributing to one of the projects; small gestures, modest sums of money, regular giving.

The Westfield Caring and Sharing Group support a project in Colombia to help the street children in the city of Medellin; I thank all those who have contributed. Between January and July 2012 we have sent £440 to this project. If anyone is interested in joining our group please do speak to me and I will be very happy to share more information. Stagecoach has announced the following changes to Westfield bus times. To improve punctuality and reliability, from Monday 10th July most bus times through Westfield have been altered by a few minutes, and during the middle of the day buses follow a different route into Hastings. At the time of producing this article, no printed timetables were available.

From Westfield: - Hastings buses leave 5 minutes EARLIER at 10 past the hour, except the previous 0915 which now leaves at 0902. - Buses leaving between 1010 and 1510 inclusive will OMIT Sainsbury’s altogether and go straight to the Conquest Hospital. They then continue via Silverhill and Bohemia Road to Hastings Station. These services are renumbered 341 from Tenterden or 343 from Rye. - The remaining 340 and 342 services keep to the previous route to Hastings but will not enter Sainsbury’s car park, stopping only on the main road.

From Hastings: - Departure times are unchanged at 14 minutes past the hour except for the last 3 which are 2 minutes earlier at 1617, 1717 & 1817. The journey to Westfield will take about 5 minutes longer. - Buses leaving 1014 and 1314 inclusive will go via Bohemia Road as a 341 or 343 and will NOT serve the Queens Road stop. These and the 1414 which goes via Queens Road will OMIT Sainsbury’s altogether. - The remaining 340 and 342 services will not enter Sainsbury’s car park and will stop only on the main road.
