PARISH CHURCH NEWS: At Whatlington Parish church on Sunday 22nd May, as part of our series of monthly evening services during the summer months there will be a special ‘Songs of Praise’. The theme for the service will be Spring, the season of new life, so evident in the countryside and in our gardens at this time of year. We will have six well known hymns, interspersed with a mixture of readings, both from the Bible and from poetry, such as Kipling’s ‘The Glory of the Garden’.
The service will be taken by our own Vicar, Kevin Mepham and will start at 6pm, it will be followed by refreshments served in the church. Car parking will as usual be in the nearby Village Hall car park and we extend a warm welcome to everyone to come and join us for this special service.
