PARISH CHURCH NEWS: Sunday 10th July the service at Whatlington church will be our monthly family service held at 10.30am and taken this month by Alison Merchant from Bexhill. As usual car parking will be available at the village hall and the service will be followed by refreshments in the church, all are welcome.

PARISH COUNCIL NEWS: Don’t forget for those of you who have received the road naming letter this is your last chance to get your road name choice in - please make sure these are returned by the deadline 11 July.

GOOD COMPANIONS: Members of The Good Companions enjoyed a lunch at The Royal Oak, Whatlington last week. Maria gave the group a choice of three main courses and three desserts to choose from, which was followed by tea/coffee. I enjoyed a pork roast dinner as did others and some enjoyed the beef stew with potatoes & vegetables. The lemon tart decorated with Kentish Strawberries was delicious.....thank you to Maria and her staff.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 20th July when we will be visiting Jempson`s Tea Rooms for Cream Teas. If you would like any information on The Good Companions, which meet once a month for social outings, please contact Hilda on 01634 032135.
