Are we not entitled to walk in safety?

Imagine the scene, a glorious summer’s day, the tide is out and the sand looks so inviting, but no the beach is off limits to us dog walkers.

So we walk along the promenade saying good morning to other dog walkers and hello to the families with pushchairs and toddlers and ‘have a good day’ to a party of French students, when without warning a cycling club of 17 bikes came through at speed and only the quick action of an adult saves a French student from being knocked over.

After this incident more bikes come through families enjoying a nice safe ride off the busy road.

But what about pedestrians are we not entitled to walk in safety ?

It would seem it would be safer for us to walk facing the traffic in the main road.lts a ludicrase situation..
