Mobile library offers less choice

Following on from Joy Wilkinson’s letter last week, the East Sussex County Council has also reduced the mobile library visits.

These are now scheduled for every three weeks instead of every two and the number of places visited has been vastly reduced across the county.

They have also reduced the size of the mobile library van so that fewer books, etc. are on board which reduces selection.

Added to that, having arrived as scheduled on January 5th this year it was then off the road on January 27th but, hopefully, it will be back with us on February 17th.

So far the new schedule does not inspire me with confidence.
