Voting should start at 21, when we are free of 'educational brain-washing'

Bernard Brown raises important points on the voting age (October 12).

If Lib Dems insist 16 year old have been deprived a say on their future, it equally applies to six year olds.

So, do we lower the voting age to six years or hold a ‘change your mind’ EU referendum every 10 years?

Frankly, the voting age should be restored to 21 years by when one is independently minded, free from parental and education establishment brain-washing.

Scientists are by definition sceptics; politicians, scaremongers. The previous two politically corrected, scare-mongering IPCC reports on managing economic growth in the face of global warming both differed significantly from their own scientific evidence. And that is on public record!

Much of today’s problems are part of 4.5 billion years of natural cycles, volcanic activity and tectonic plate movement. We know global temperatures in Roman times were a degree or two higher than today and the tidal Rother was 200ft wide at Bodiam (Rye was an island) – yet planet earth survived!

Patently, the Roman warming period was neither due to diesel chariots nor Classis Britannica’s industrial pollution. On October 11, 1918, Beckley basked in mid-60oF temperatures.

If, as politicians insist, today’s global warming is ‘man-made’ then the solution, Stephen Hardy, is obvious – stop breeding, increasing immigration and concreting over our countryside to satisfy manic economic growth infrastructure demands!
