YUMMY MUMMIES'SUMMER FUN

NEWICK yummy mummies staged a fun day to raise money for children with cancer.

More than 100 children and 60 grown-ups turned up the event in Mandy Stockwell's Blind Lane garden.

Attractions included a bouncy castle, raffle, tombola, lucky dip and face painting. More than 1,300 was raised for children's cancer charity CLIC.

Co-organiser Kate Stammers said: 'We think the turn-out was so good because we put on a lot of different activities and it was also one of the last days of the summer holidays.

'We're planning an even bigger event at Christmas, probably an auction, so watch this space.'
