Bexhill run comes to an end

BEXHILL United's mini revival came to an end on Saturday as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at home to second-placed Franklands Village.

The visitors surged into a two-goal lead before half time thanks to an unfortunate Darrell Shaw own goal and a flying header from Ian Barber.

Bexhill hit back on the hour mark when captain Benjie Symes made no mistake.

Soon after Franklands were reduced to 10 men but the home side could not make the most of their numerical advantage.
