COX IMPRESSES IN TRY SCORING DEBUT

SHOREHAM Rugby Club's first friendly of the new season ended in a 17-10 win away to Burgess Hill 2nds on Saturday.

Burgess Hill took the lead from an unconverted try from a quick tap-penalty early on but Shoreham equalised on 15 minutes.

Winger Dave Brand outpaced touched down in the corner and Russell Brown converted. Shoreham dominated the rest of the half but poor handling meant no further scores were added.
