Donnelly quits Lancing for Shoreham

LANCING Football Club'S ex-Worthing manager Sammy Donnelly has quit Culver Road and football management. After rescuing the Lancers from relegation last spring, he has gone to Shoreham FC as vice-chairman and co-director.

He leaves Lancing in the bottom two of County League Division 2 after frustrations in his management post there that hastened his decision to move to Middle Road.

He goes with Matthew Major, who will success Roger Brace as chairman of Division 1 Shoreham, which is another of Donnelly's previous clubs and one where he had success.
