Duffy says Brighton will have to be better next season
The Irishman was honest in his assessment of the 2018/19 campaign which concluded on Sunday in a 4-1 defeat to champions Manchester City.
A strong first half of the season saw Albion 11 points ahead of the relegation zone at the turn of the new year, but poor form and disappointing performances saw them pick up just two more wins all season.

Hide AdSharing his thoughts on the season, Duffy said: “Up and down I think. The aim was to stay in the league and that’s what we’ve done but we’ll have to improve and be better next season.
“I think we’re a lot better than what we showed in the second half of the season but as I said the aim was to stay in the league and we’ve done that so we go again next season."
Duffy admitted there were struggles throughout the campaign but hopes the Seagulls can learn from the situation they found themselves in.
He said: “It’s been difficult. We’ve gone through low points and fought for performances and we’ll learn from it. Next season if we are going through a little period like this we can take it from this season and try to get out of it.

Hide Ad“It's a big summer and we'll see where we go from there. A lot of teams are going higher and higher so (the aim is) safety and then see how high we can go.”
