The Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One fixture has got the green light after the Little Common Recreation Ground pitch passed an early morning inspection. Kick-off is 11am.

Westfield’s game at home to AFC Varndeanians in Southern Combination League Division Two is also on after The Parish Field pitch passed an inspection. Kick-off in that one is also 11am.

Storm Katie brought heavy rain and strong winds to the area last night, and although the rain has now given way to sunshine, the wind remains extremely strong.

A pitch inspection will take place at approximately 11am to see if Hastings United’s game at home to Peacehaven & Telscombe in Ryman Football League Division One South can go ahead this afternoon. Kick-off is 3pm.

There is quite a lot of standing water on The Pilot Field playing surface this morning, but United will be hoping that as long as it stays dry - and the forecast suggests it will - the wind will help dry the pitch out in time for kick-off.

Assuming United’s match does go ahead, admission will be £2 for adults and £1 for concessions - a reduction of £8 and £5 respectively on the usual charges - and under-18s will, as usual, get in free.
