UNIVERSITY of Chichester students returned to competitive action after a week's break.

The men’s football club enjoyed another successful Wednesday, winning four out of their five matches.

The first team maintained their 100 per cent start with a hard-fought away win over Brighton II.

The women’s football first team secured their first point of the season after a 4-4 home draw against reigning champions Hertfordshire.

The seconds dispatched Imperial College’s first team 15-0.

Chichester’s men’s lacrosse team won 11-2 at Brunel, James Kidd and Peter Finlay impressing.

The netball first team narrowly lost away to last year’s league runners-up Hertfordshire 41-38, while the twos defeated New Bucks 26-17.

The men’s rugby first team moved into league contention with a 17-7 win over Portsmouth. Elsewhere there were wins for the men’s badminton team and women’s basketball side.
