A number of players have already put pen to paper as the Pirates begin their preparations for the 2014/15 Sussex County Football League Division Two season.

Former captain Josh Elliott-Noye and Allan McMinigal have returned to the club from neighbours Little Common, and former Common full-back Anthony Cooper has also made the cross-town switch.

Jack Aston is back at The Polegrove after a season with Eastbourne United AFC and Dan Cruikshank - who played with Munday at Sidley United in the past - is also on board.

Chris Sanderson has impressed Munday on his return to senior football, while the likes of George Aston and Dan Hill, as well as Munday and assistant Andy Atkin, have signed up.

Hill and Paul Rogers - who hasn’t yet signed - caught the eye during Bexhill’s 6-4 victory over a Hastings United under-21 side in their opening pre-season friendly last weekend.

Bexhill were due to face Newhaven on Wednesday night before taking on Eastbourne Town reserves/triallists at Eastbourne Sports Park tomorrow (Saturday) and Crowborough Athletic at Buxton Drive on Tuesday.

Bexhill’s trip to Glebe in FA Vase first round qualifying has been put back 24 hours to Sunday September 7.
