Peacehaven & Telscombe 3, Horsham YMCA 4: Buckland pleased with victory at Magpies
Buckland’s men stormed to a 4-1 half time lead thanks to two goals from Phil Johnson and one each from Sam Schaaf and Ashley Dugdale.
But Peacehaven gave Buckland and YM a fright in the second half as they pulled two goals back. But YM hung on for the three points.

“No pretence about it, it got tense towards the end.
“On the balance of the 90 minutes play, we deserved the victory, I don’t think anyone could deny that, coupled with 4-2 we missed a couple of glorious chances to see the game off, but that’s football isn’t it?
“It’s always a game of two halves down there when you have the hill and when you are defended against the hill.
“We were probably as bad in the second half as we were as good in the first half.

“If they keep that squad together they are going to be a surprise little package.”
Phil Johnson and Dave Brown both went off injured and missed Tuesday night’s game with Wick.
