Rye United’s game away to Eastbourne Town tonight (Wednesday) is set to go ahead as things stand.
The pitch at The Saffrons is currently playable, but with heavy rain forecast for this afternoon, an inspection could take place if deemed necessary later on.
The Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup third round tie has already been postponed once and a second call-off would result in it being switched to Rye, although The Salts has been under water lately following all the recent rain.
Sussex County Football League Division One outfit Rye have played just three times since mid-December, while Ryman Football League Division One South strugglers Town have also seen little recent action due to the weather.
The eventual winners will be at home to Ryman Division One South leaders Peacehaven & Telscombe. Kick-off is scheduled for 7.45pm, but check this website later this afternoon to find out if the game is still going ahead.
