Strike ace Ade returns ‘home’
The accomplished striker marked his arrival back at The Salts after nearly a decade away by scoring in the first two minutes of the home game against Crawley Down Gatwick on Tuesday night.
Speaking after Rye’s 2-0 victory in the Sussex Senior Cup second round tie, Olorunda said: “It’s good to be back after a decade away. My career did start here. With a baby on the way, and me and Ginge (Rye joint manager Marc Gall) being good friends, I thought it was time to come home.”

“There were other offers, but sometimes it’s about being loyal,” he continued. “We’re still in the Vase, it’s a tough draw (against East Preston), but we’ll give it a go - I haven’t been to Wembley yet.
“I’ve got the experience to help the others along. I’m motivated and just want to win, whatever level I’m playing at. It’s a strong squad and I’m looking forward to playing.”
Olorunda becomes the latest in a string of high profile signings made by Rye this season and Gall was delighted to beat off interest from higher level clubs to secure his signature.
