HASTINGS United continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 win away to Ryman League newboys Three Bridges.

Fielding a stronger line-up to the one that went down by the same scoreline at Faversham Town four days previously, Hastings opened their account just past the half hour.

Lee Carey, the newly-appointed club captain, made no mistake from the penalty spot after Dee Okojie had been brought down.

Matt Armstrong-Ford was called upon to make a couple of decent saves before Jamie Crellin thumped home the second in the third minute of added time.

Hastings used 15 players including former midfielder Anthony Storey and left back Matt Whitehead who had a run out for a Crawley Town XI in midweek.

Hastings: Armstrong-Ford, Cox (Benner), Whitehead, Carey, Ray (Manning), Jirbandey, Crellin, Storey, Goldberg (Camara), Attwood, Okojie (Howell).

The reserves of Hastings contested a 2-2 draw with a Gillingham Reserves/Youth XI in a friendly at The Pilot Field on Saturday.
